Density Lab
Density: Mass/Volume, thats how you calculate density
Density Lab
In this lab we compared the density of cold salty water to warm fresh water.
So we poured in 250 ml of cold water in one beaker mixed with salt, in blue food coloring.
Then we poured 250 ml of warm water in another beaker with yellow food coloring
So we poured in 250 ml of cold water in one beaker mixed with salt, in blue food coloring.
Then we poured 250 ml of warm water in another beaker with yellow food coloring
After all of that, we measured both masses. Then took the numbers and mass/volume. The numbers we got for the cold salty water, a density of 1.3552. The warm fresh water was 1.512. Therefore the warm fresh water was denser.
